• The Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park Ski Area has power-tilled runs through magnificent old growth forests, with spectacular views of Lake Superior. Two chairlifts, a T-bar and a rope tow make for short lift lines. There is a 641' vertical drop, the highest in the Midwest. A casual family atmosphere makes "The Porkies" special.

• The Park maintains 30 miles of groomed Nordic trails that challenge and reward adventurous cross country skiers.

• Opportunities for snowshoeing abound in Ontonagon county with thousands of acres of snow-covered back country wilderness to explore.

• SNOWMOBILING -There are nearly 400 miles of groomed snowmobile trails in Ontonagon County that pass through some of the most beautiful scenery to be found in the midwest. Trails connect to others in the Western U.P. and beyond. Snowmobile rentals nearby. We have a heated workshop for our guests to use.
